Question 1

What does the $200 pre-purchase inspection include?

Accepted Answer

Our $200 flat-rate inspection covers a 200-point diagnostic check including engine, transmission, brakes, suspension, body structure, frame and structural integrity, hidden flood damage, tires, and full exterior and interior condition. The inspection takes 60 to 90 minutes, you need to be present, and we hand you a full printed report on the spot.

Question 2

How long does the inspection take?

Accepted Answer

A full inspection takes 60 to 90 minutes depending on the vehicle. You need to be present during the inspection so our technician can walk you through the findings. We come to the vehicle's location, so you don't need to bring it anywhere.

Question 3

Where do you inspect the vehicle?

Accepted Answer

We come to you. We inspect the vehicle wherever it is located — the seller's driveway, a dealership lot, a used car lot, or on the street. We serve Oakland, Alameda, Hayward, San Leandro, Berkeley, Union City, Newark, Richmond, and Fremont CA.

Question 4

Do I need to be present during the inspection?

Accepted Answer

Yes, you need to be present during the inspection. The full inspection takes 60 to 90 minutes, and our technician reviews the findings with you in person. When it is done, we hand you a full printed report on the spot.

Question 5

How do I pay for the inspection?

Accepted Answer

Pay securely with any credit or debit card right on our site when you book. Your $200 payment is processed through a secure, encrypted checkout. Once your payment clears, your appointment is locked in and we dispatch the tech. No cash on site, no surprises. $200 flat, no hidden fees.

Question 6

What areas do you serve?

Accepted Answer

We serve the entire Bay Area including Oakland, Alameda, Hayward, San Leandro, Berkeley, Union City, Newark, Richmond, Fremont, San Francisco, Burlingame, San Mateo, San Jose, Antioch, and Pittsburg, California. If your vehicle is anywhere in the Bay Area, we can inspect it.

Question 7

How far in advance should I book?

Accepted Answer

We recommend booking as soon as you find a vehicle you're seriously considering. Same-day and next-day appointments are often available. Submit your request and we will call you to confirm the time.

Question 8

Is a pre-purchase inspection worth it?

Accepted Answer

Yes. A $200 inspection is the cheapest insurance you will ever buy on a used car. One hidden problem — a bad transmission, frame damage, or flood damage — can cost thousands. Knowing what to check before buying a used car, and having a certified inspector do it, pays for itself the first time it saves you from a lemon.

Question 9

How do I avoid buying a lemon?

Accepted Answer

Never trust a clean paint job. The used car red flags — hidden rust, flood damage, a patched frame, a seller who reset the check engine light — are exactly what our 200-point inspection uncovers. We find the signs of a bad used car before your money leaves your hand.

Question 10

What does a used car inspection checklist cover?

Accepted Answer

Our used car inspection checklist covers engine health and OBD2 codes, frame and structural integrity, hidden flood damage, transmission and drivetrain, brakes, suspension, tires, and the full exterior and interior — everything you would check yourself, done by a certified mechanic.

Question 11

How does an inspection affect the car price?

Accepted Answer

Every issue we find is leverage. Buyers regularly use our report to negotiate thousands off the asking price — or walk away entirely. Used car price negotiation tips only work when you know what is actually wrong, and that is exactly what we hand you on the spot.
